Stride Update 002

I’m 15 weeks into the marathon of building Stride. It’s hard to articulate how much the world has changed since my last update on March 9th.

UPDATE

  • Our team and our strategy have been challenged and stretched in ways none of us could have predicted. The good news is Stride’s relevance has skyrocketed.

  • Our sign ups have increased by 150% in two months.

  • Any leader worth their salt is working very hard to understand how to lead themselves and their teams in these new circumstances. Our target market has exploded and we’re receiving inbounds from organisations who want to pilot Stride every day.

  • The bad news is we’re facing the same reality every business is facing; uncertain and unstable economic consequences, how to best manage cash, staff and potential investors.

  • We made the decision to extend our runway, reduce our burn and pivot our fundraising strategy. We’re now raising £1.5m to enable us to meet the surge in demand from B2B customers and continue to build the product out.

  • In the last two weeks, we secured part of this round and are now focused on raising the remaining £1.25m

  • We’ve signed our first paying B2B customer and our pilot with them will launch this week

  • We're accepting applications from organisations who want to pilot our product (this is something you pay for) you can apply here

  • We are releasing new versions of Stride on a weekly basis for both iOS and Android.  If you’d like to test our product, you can sign up here

  • Thank you to all of you that have provided feedback so far. Keep it coming, you are crucial for us creating a new form of leadership product.

  • We are heads down working on more modules and improving the format even more. If you are interested in collaborating with us on content, get in touch.

  • We have over 300 people using the product.

  • We’re hosting a webinar every two weeks with a leadership expert. Our first webinar was with Amanda Parker all about leading virtually.

  • Our second webinar was with Eva Appelbaum around the theme of uncertainty.

  • Our third one will be on May 7th with leadership communication expert and author Amanda Coleman, specifically for those of you leading in comms teams. Register here.

What we’re working on this month

  • Our pilot programmes

  • Building our community of testers

  • Releasing more content

  • Raising capital

My focus over the next month

Continue to adjust the plan every day, talking to the team, talking to investors and thinking carefully about what organisations really need us right now.

I want to end by share a vision with you; imagine having leadership lessons on tap every single day for less than the price of a cup of coffee. That’s Stride!

Thanks for reading and being part of this 💫
