Snowing and togetherness
I am still sneezing so couldn't venture out into the snow today. Lovely Kate and Alice took my red balloon along on their journey. The BBC have received more pictures from viewers than ever before. Today we learned to slow down; London forgot about it all and slid down a hill. There are kids playing out in the street who don't usually talk to each other.
This white blanket is bringing our communities together. Mums and Dads can't go to work and the kids can't go to school. Family day. There is a sense of togetherness as people build snowmen and laugh in a care free nature that seems somehow unfamiliar.
The mischief makers are spreading happiness, neighbours and saying hello with a smile - the BBC journalist captured it wonderfully "we feel like we have walked through the wardrobe".
