Sharing what you know doesn't make you selfish, it makes you generous.⠀
What stops you from sharing what you know; your ideas, opinions and stories? When I listen to the answers to this question I hear fear - fear of not knowing enough and fear of creating or sharing something that you'll cringe at in the future.⠀ ⠀
What if I say something I regret?
What if I say something and it's later used against me?
What if I say the wrong thing? ⠀
Here's the deal. The more you know, you will realise the scale of what you don't know. And it's fucking huge. That's okay. If you are progressing and learning you *will* cringe at your past work - this is a sign you are doing something right. When I feel the cringe I try to remind myself this is a badge of honour of sorts - I shipped and I showed up. I didn't wait until it was perfect. Especially if I cringe at something I wrote recently - that means I'm progressing fast. Stop waiting until you feel you know enough. You will never feel ready. I want to hear about your learnings, your failures, your mistakes, your ambitions and your ideas. Sharing all these things doesn't make you selfish, it makes you generous.⠀
